This year, I decided to replace my traditional trip to KY to do the TOSRV ride with a trip to KY to do the "Horsey Hundred". The Horsey Hundred is always held on Memorial Day weekend, and offers a century on Saturday, and a 70+ mile ride on Sunday, all on very hilly central KY terrain.
Unfortunately this was a very stormy May for KY (tornados touched down in Lexington on Friday and Sunday), and the Saturday century ride was one of the few bright spots in the weather. Sunday's weather was so bad that we skipped that day's ride. Even though the weather in KY was pretty crazy, MB and I had great driving weather both out and back, which was welcome.
Here are some selected photos from the ride:
Horsey Hundred, Saturday, first stop
Horsey Hundred, Saturday, second stop
Horsey Hundred, Saturday, view down power easement after huge climb
Horsey Hundred, Saturday, Old Frankfort Pike scenery
