My boss recently upgraded his all Dura-Ace two-ring setup to an all Dura-Ace three-ring setup. This necessitated the replacement of pretty much every drivetrain component, and the shift/brake levers. Rather than put the old components on eBay, he offered them to me. Of course, I accepted, having never had Dura-Ace on any bike of mine. While it was very kind of him to donate these components to me, it has caused me a bit of consternation. You see, it's a real waste for those nice DA components to just sit in the box. They really need to be on a nice frame of some sort. You see where this is going, of course. Yes, I've been spending time on eBay again, looking for vintage, or at least used, interesting older steel frames made by Colnago, Masi, and Ciocc. The frame has to be steel, and it has to be lugged, and it probably has to be italian.
